Job summary

First American is seeking a Commercial Title Officer to support our growing commercial title practice. This remote role supports the team across the United States, performing title searches, analyzing records, and ensuring accurate legal descriptions for transactions from single sites to multi-site deals.

You will review deeds and corporate documents, price commitments, and endorsements, and may consult with attorneys in some regions.

Qualifications

• National Commercial experience required.
• Passion for helping customers with a professional attitude.
• Proven problem-solving skills with eagerness to learn and share.
• Understanding how to navigate internal and external resources to gather information and resolve questions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with internal and external customers; multi-channel communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform or review title searches for commercial transactions.
• Analyze liens, judgments, easements, and other records to determine ownership and description.
• Price commitments, endorsements, policies, and fees.
• Review deeds, operating agreements, and corporate resolutions.
• Select write-ups for standard and extended coverage; escalate with attorneys when needed.
