Job summary

First American is seeking a Commercial Title Examiner to support large-scale real estate transactions, including multi-property portfolios. You will analyze public records, verify ownership, and identify title issues while collaborating with underwriters and clients.

We’ll provide tools, training, and support for success in a fast-paced, paperless environment. You should have at least 3 years of related commercial title insurance experience, strong knowledge of real estate terminology, and

Qualifications

At least 3 years of directly related commercial title insurance experience.
Understanding of relevant legal and real estate terminology.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat/Pro, internet, and property data platforms.
Ability to learn company systems and work independently in a fast-paced, paperless environment.
Clear, professional communication with a customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

Manage projects ranging from single to multi-property commercial transactions.
Search, examine and connect data across counties and jurisdictions.
Verify legal property descriptions and interpret plots.
Review leases, deeds, liens, and easements to determine ownership and restrictions.
Summarize findings and prepare title commitments and reports.
Collaborate with underwriters and internal partners to ensure accuracy.
