First American’s GO Title division seeks a Commercial Title Examiner to ensure smooth closings for large-scale real estate transactions. You will analyze public records, verify ownership, and identify title issues while coordinating with underwriters and clients.

Three years of commercial title insurance experience plus strong research and communication skills are required. Remote-friendly role with competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of directly related commercial title insurance experience.
• Understand relevant legal and real estate terminology.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat/Pro, internet, property data platforms and the ability to learn company systems.
• Excel at analyzing complex information and solving problems independently.
• Highly organized and thrive in a fast-paced, detail-driven, and paperless environment.
• Clear and professional communication with a customer service mindset.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex commercial transactions from single to multi-property where every detail matters.
• Search, examine and connect data across counties and jurisdictions.
• Verify legal property descriptions, including reading, interpreting, and plotting.
• Review and analyze public records such as leases, subleases, deeds, liens, and easements.
• Summarize findings and prepare title commitments and reports with precision and clarity.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies or missing information through careful research and documentation.
• Collaborate with underwriters and internal partners to ensure accuracy and efficiency in the title process.
