Job summary

First American’s GO Title division is seeking a Commercial Title Examiner to support complex real estate transactions. You will analyze public records, verify ownership, read legal descriptions, and identify title issues while coordinating with underwriters and clients.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of commercial title insurance experience in searching, examining, and writing commitments.
• Strong understanding of real estate terminology and title concepts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat/Pro; able to learn company systems.
• Excellent analytical skills, detail-oriented, and independent problem-solver.
• Excellent customer service orientation with clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from single to multi-property commercial transactions.
• Search, examine, and connect data across counties and jurisdictions.
• Verify legal descriptions and plot property data.
• Review leases, deeds, liens, and easements for ownership and restrictions.
• Summarize findings and prepare title commitments and reports.
• Collaborate with underwriters and internal teams to ensure accuracy.
