Job summary

Chart Industries, a leader in water treatment solutions, seeks a Commercial Sales Manager to drive revenue in municipal and industrial markets. You will own territory growth, build relationships with engineers and end users, and coordinate with engineering teams to deliver technically sound, commercially compelling water solutions.

The role requires strong presentation and negotiation skills, 5+ years in technical sales, and up to 50% travel within the United States.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical sales within the water treatment industry.
• Experience selling capital equipment, engineered systems, or treatment technologies within municipal/industrial water markets.
• Strong understanding of water treatment processes including adsorption, filtration, ion exchange, membrane technologies, disinfection, and advanced treatment systems.
• Ability to interpret water quality data and recommend treatment solutions based on objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Experience working with consulting engineers, utilities, municipalities, industrial end users, and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute territory sales strategies to meet revenue goals.
• Drive new business in municipal, industrial, commercial, and private utility water markets.
• Own territory sales goals, bookings targets, and pipeline development.
• Build and expand relationships with engineers, municipalities, end users, EPC firms, utilities, contractors, regulators, and key stakeholders.
• Maintain a healthy sales pipeline through Salesforce and provide accurate forecasting; identify opportunities in drinking water, wastewater, water reuse, desalination, and emerging contaminants.
• Collaborate with engineering and proposal teams to develop technically sound, commercially competitive solutions.
• Lead customer discovery discussions on water quality challenges, goals, compliance, and project drivers.
• Present Chart Water's technologies at meetings, webinars, and industry events; support proposal development and pricing negotiations.
