Job summary

MEC General Contractors is seeking a Project Manager to oversee commercial construction projects. The role emphasizes budget control, scheduling, subcontractor oversight, and closeout processes.

You will manage pre-construction packages, lead meetings, and ensure quality while maintaining cost efficiency. This position begins remotely, with potential future in-office work; travel to job sites is occasional.

Qualifications

• Commercial project management experience of 3–5+ years (preferred).
• Self-direct and handle multiple tasks.
• Strong problem solving and conflict resolution.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Procore and MS Project.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• Occasional business travel to visit job sites.
• Understanding of project management principles & budget management.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage project budgets for all assigned projects.
• Developing pre-construction RFP packages.
• Conducting project meetings and setting milestones and formulating owners’ reports.
• Establishing job processes (RFI's, Submittals etc.).
• Performing project scheduling; ensuring project quality control and establishing overall project logistics.
• Leads the project team in establishing expectations, providing information to subs, and maintaining quality and cost effectiveness in the overview of all the projects.
• Comprehension of construction drawings.
• Leads with managing the project closeout process.
• Prepares weekly project updates.
