Job summary

MEC General Contractors is seeking a Project Manager to oversee commercial construction with a focus on budgets, schedules, and quality. The candidate will manage procurement, permits, and subcontractor oversight while fostering a collaborative, low-travel regional environment.

Responsibilities include leading meetings, developing RFP packages, and maintaining client communications. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required, with some travel to project sites.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of commercial project management experience
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
• Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication
• Experience with Procore and Microsoft Project preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• Occasional travel to job sites
• Understanding of PM principles and budget management

Responsibilities

• Create and manage project budgets for all assigned projects
• Develop pre-construction RFP packages
• Lead project meetings and set milestones; prepare owner reports
• Establish job processes (RFIs, Submittals, etc.) and workflows
• Schedule projects; ensure quality control and overall logistics
• Lead the project team to meet expectations and cost targets
• Understand construction drawings and documentation
• Oversee project closeout processes
• Prepare weekly project updates
