MEC General Contractors seeks an experienced Estimator to take projects from Design RFP to kickoff, estimating labor, materials, and equipment for commercial construction. Ideal candidate resides in Florida and is willing to grow with MEC long term.

The role requires analyzing plans, preparing detailed cost estimates, reviewing blueprints for value engineering, and coordinating with owners, engineers, and subcontractors. Full-time, in-person, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field is advantageous.
• 2+ years of proven experience as a Commercial Construction Estimator is recommended.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Analyze project plans to determine materials, labor, and equipment needs.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates including subcontractor bids and permits.
• Develop cost breakdowns and assist in bid proposals.
• Collaborate with project team on budget development and cost control.
