Job summary

SDI Staffing is seeking a Commercial Lines Assistant Account Manager in California, with 1–2 years in an independent agency. The role focuses on processing Certificates of Insurance, supporting the Construction team, and handling day-to-day client needs including billing inquiries and policy changes.

You will work remotely with CA residency preferred, and there may be in-office training. Strong communication and attention to detail are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Recent experience processing Certificates of Insurance (COI).
• 1–2 years’ experience in an independent agency environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Process commercial certificates daily.
• Assist the Construction team.
• Perform Administrative / Assistant duties as needed.
• Data entry, follow up, review, etc.
• Assist clients with billing inquiries, policy reviews, and change requests.
• Process certificate requests and policy changes as needed.
• Submit Acord applications for new quotes and renewal reports to carriers.
• Provide renewal quotes and bind coverage under supervision.
• Review policy forms for required coverages and advise insured on additional lines.
• Support Account Manager and Producer with other duties.
