Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines in Southern California to manage an assigned book of business, ensuring retention and supporting new business. This hybrid role covers a broad range of client service, policy administration, and renewal activities with a focus on generalist and construction accounts.

Qualifications

• Active property & casualty licensing is required.
• Experience in insurance brokerage and understanding client needs.
• Proficiency in MS Office; strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent customer service, communication, multitasking and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business and support retention.
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and client service activities.
• Renewals: prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, present proposals.
• Monitor accounts receivable and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
