Job summary

Insurance Office of America seeks an Account Manager for Commercial Lines in Southern California. The role combines account management, policy administration, and client service, with hybrid work and remote options for California residents.

You will handle renewals, submissions, and carrier negotiations, while mentoring the account team and maintaining data accuracy in agency systems. A P&C license is required and CIC is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Active property & casualty licensing; CIC or equivalent preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Accounts receivable: monitor reports and collect balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms; ensure data accuracy.
• Monitor activity and suspense to ensure timely completion.
• Maintain frequent, transparent communication with the account team.
• Deliver excellent service and proactively anticipate needs.
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Seek and adopt best practices to improve performance.
• Demonstrate integrity and leadership.
