Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager for Commercial Lines in the Sterling Heights area. You will manage an assigned book, support retention, and coordinate day-to-day admin and service activities for clients.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in account management or 5+ years in insurance, active P&C license, and strong analytical and communication skills. Remote options available within ET/Central Time Zones with onsite as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of account management experience or 5+ years in insurance.
• Active P&C license is required; CIC or equivalent preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent customer service, communication, multitasking and organization.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned book of business and support retention and new business.
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities.
• Resolve complex issues with accuracy and timeliness.
• Handle policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals; renewals process.
• Prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and pursue collections as needed.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Ensure data accuracy and timely activity in systems.
• Communicate workload status and issues with the account team.
• Deliver proactive service and support the IOA values.
