Job summary

Insurance Office of America, Inc. is seeking an Account Manager for Commercial Lines to manage an assigned book, retain accounts, and support new business.

You will coordinate day-to-day admin, handle complex client requests, and ensure accuracy across policy administration, billing, and renewals. The ideal candidate holds an active P&C license, 3+ years in account management (or 5+ years in insurance), strong analytical and customer service skills, and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs
• Active licensing; CIC or equivalent designation preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• High School Diploma (or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring retention and supporting new business
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities
• Resolve complex issues and ensure no errors or omissions
• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise
• Direct daily activities of the account management team
• Handle policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis
• Manage policy expirations and renewals
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms
• Ensure timely completion and transparent workload communication
• Deliver excellent service and proactively anticipate needs
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures
• Seek and adopt best practices to improve performance
• Demonstrate integrity and leadership at IOA
