Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager for Commercial Lines to manage a book of business, retain clients, and support new business development. The role requires a licensed agent with insurance brokerage knowledge and strong customer service skills.

You will lead an account team, coordinate policy administration, billing, renewals, and submissions, while maintaining system data accuracy and timely communication with clients.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active licensing; CIC or equivalent designation preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organization.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring retention and supporting new business.
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities.
• Resolve complex issues with a focus on accuracy and OOM (Errors and Omissions).
• Maintain technical competence and industry knowledge.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and coordinate collections.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Ensure timely completion and transparent communication within the team.
• Deliver excellent service and proactively anticipate needs.
