Job summary

Insurance Office of America (IOA) seeks an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage a defined book of business, retain clients, and support new business.

You will lead day-to-day account management activities, coordinate policy administration, billing, claims, and renewals, and ensure data accuracy across carrier platforms.

Candidates must have an active P&C license and 3+ years in account management or 5+ years in insurance; strong client service and MS Office skills are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of account management experience or 5+ years in the insurance industry
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs
• Active licensing; CIC or equivalent preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring retention and growth
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities
• Handle policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis
• Policy expirations and renewals management
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances
• Maintain agency management systems and data accuracy
• Communicate workload status with the account team
• Deliver proactive service and seek process improvements
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures
