Job summary

Insurance Office of America (IOA) is seeking an Account Manager for Commercial Lines to manage a book of business, retain clients, and support new business. The role collaborates with teams to resolve complex issues, ensuring accurate policy administration and timely service.

The ideal candidate holds an active P&C license, 3+ years in account management (5+ in insurance), strong communication skills, and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Active license required; CIC or equivalent preferred
• 3+ years of account management experience, or 5+ years in insurance
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills
• Excellent customer service, communication, multitasking, and organization
• Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise
• Direct daily activities of the account management team
• Handle policy administration, billing, claims and coverage analysis
• Manage policy expirations and renewals
• Prepare submissions, negotiate coverages and present proposals
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect balances
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms
• Ensure data accuracy and timely activity
• Communicate workload status with the account team
• Deliver proactive service and anticipate client needs
