Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage an assigned book, retain clients, and support new business. You will coordinate day-to-day admin and customer service, resolving complex issues and ensuring accuracy in every detail.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in account management or 5+ years in insurance, plus an active P&C license (CIC preferred). Expect competitive pay, strong benefits, and opportunities for growth within IOA.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of account management experience or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active licensing; CIC or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms, ensuring data accuracy.
• Monitor and maintain activity/suspense to ensure timely completion.
• Maintain frequent, transparent communication with the account team regarding workload status.
• Deliver excellent service, proactively anticipate needs, and respond quickly.
