Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage an assigned book of business, retain clients, and support new business. You will coordinate day-to-day administrative tasks and resolve complex issues to ensure accuracy and service excellence.

The role requires active P&C licensing, strong communication, and leadership to guide the account management team. Remote work is available for Eastern/Central time zones with hybrid onsite needs as required by business

Qualifications

• 3+ years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs
• Active licensing; CIC or equivalent preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• High School Diploma (or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Renewal process: conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Ensure timely completion of activities.
• Communicate workload status with the account team regarding issues and priorities.
• Deliver excellent service and proactively anticipate client needs.
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Seek best practices to improve individual and team performance.
• Champion IOA values and leadership principles.
