Job summary

Insurance Office of America (IOA) is seeking an Account Manager for Commercial Lines to manage a book of business, retain clients, and support new business development. This role requires an active P&C license and offers growth in a collaborative environment across Eastern/Central time zones.

You will oversee daily account activities, coordinate service requests, and ensure accurate policy administration, billing, claims, and renewals while maintaining data integrity in agency systems.

Qualifications

• Active P&C license required; CIC or equivalent designation preferred.
• 3+ years in account management or 5+ years in insurance industry.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Monitor activity to ensure timely completion.
• Communicate workload status with the account team.
• Deliver proactive service and respond quickly to requests.
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Seek best practices to improve team performance.
• Demonstrate IOA values and leadership.
