Job summary

Insurance Office of America, Inc. is seeking an Account Manager for Commercial Lines to manage a book of business, retain clients, and support new business development.

The role requires a current active P&C license and the ability to work Pacific Time Zone hours, typically Monday–Friday 8am–5pm. The workload includes coordinating day-to-day administrative tasks, renewals, policy administration, billing, and ensuring data accuracy across agency systems.

Qualifications

• Active P&C license and strong knowledge of insurance brokerage.
• 3+ years in account management or 5+ years in insurance.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Outstanding customer service and communication abilities.
• Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Monitor activity to ensure timely completion.
• Communicate workload status with the account team.
• Deliver proactive service and respond quickly to requests.
• Stay updated on company policies.
• Seek best practices to improve performance.
