Job summary

Mobilitas is hiring a Commercial Pricing Actuary (Mobility) to work remotely across the United States. You will prepare and coordinate analyses for insurance rating, support pricing for individual accounts, and lead projects of moderate complexity.

The role is posted as a level V Actuarial Analyst, with openness to levels IV–V. You will partner with product management, finance and claims, document assumptions, and mentor junior colleagues while staying abreast of industry developments.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area plus 5+ years of post-bachelor experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis
• Graduate degree in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area with 3 years of statistical/actuarial analysis experience
• Proficiency in statistical analysis and programming languages (SQL, R, Python, Radar) and strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Support commercial auto pricing, including individual account pricing and portfolio-level analyses
• Conducts actuarially sound statistical analyses by selecting appropriate data sources and making assumptions
• Evaluate analytical work and provide decisions considering internal and external environments
• Document assumptions, methods, sources and considerations clearly
• Prepare actuarial findings suitable for technical and non-technical audiences
• Participate in peer reviews to improve quality and foster collaboration
• Collaborate with product management, finance, and claims to provide actuarial support
• Follow industry developments and emerging actuarial methods and tools
• Provide mentorship to junior colleagues
• Develop and analyze new methodologies for insurance rating and loss reserving
