Job summary

Mobilitas is hiring a Commercial Pricing Actuary (Mobility) - Remote. You will support commercial auto pricing, perform portfolio analyses, and lead pricing projects with a focus on mobility insurance solutions. The role offers mentorship and cross-functional collaboration with product, finance, and claims.

The position is remote anywhere in the United States (excluding Hawaii and Alaska). Experience in personal lines pricing and actuarial exams is valued for advancing through levels IV–V.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area with 5+ years of post-bachelor experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis.
• Graduate degree in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area with 3 years experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis.
• Strong analytical and communication skills in a client-facing role.
• Solid understanding of the market landscape.
• Proficiency in SQL, R, Python, Radar.

Responsibilities

• Support commercial auto pricing, including individual account pricing and portfolio-level analyses.
• Conduct actuarially sound statistical analysis by selecting data sources and making assumptions for pricing.
• Evaluate analyses and provide decisions considering internal and external factors.
• Document assumptions, methods, sources and considerations clearly.
• Prepare actuarial findings for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Participate in peer reviews to enhance quality and collaboration.
• Collaborate with product management, finance, and claims for actuarial support.
• Follow industry trends and emerging actuarial methods.
• Provide mentorship to junior colleagues.
• Develop and analyze new methodologies for insurance rating and loss reserving.
