Job summary

Azusa Pacific Global University is seeking a Collections Specialist to manage internal and external student accounts receivable with a focus on proactive collection and compliance. The role supports student retention and fiscal responsibility across the university.

The position is full-time, non-exempt, Grade 6, offering an hourly range of $20.11–$25.13. The role is fully remote with standard work hours Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM PST, plus one late shift per week.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in student accounts, collections, loan administration, or related field.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate with students and departments.
• Familiarity with billing procedures, compliance, and debt collection practices.

Responsibilities

• Contact students with past due accounts and request payment.
• Negotiate payment plans with students and document actions.
• Maintain accurate records in the student accounts system and run reports.
• Coordinate with external collection agencies and monitor performance.
• Ensure compliance with FDCPA and university policies.
