Job summary

The Hiller Companies, LLC is seeking a Collections Coordinator to manage accounts receivable balances within an assigned portfolio and ensure timely collections for the company’s fire protection and safety services.

This US-based, fully remote role supports multiple time zones and requires a full-time schedule aligned to Mountain time. Strong communication and Excel skills, plus accounting experience, are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• Experience in accounts receivable and B2B collections is required.
• Experience with project-based invoicing, retainage and lien collections is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers to collect overdue payments via phone and email.
• Encourage online payments and guide customers through the portal.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies.
• Perform account reconciliations and maintain notes in the system.
• Monitor collections metrics and report to management, escalating issues when needed.
• Identify process improvements to increase collections efficiency.
