Parkland Health is seeking a Coding Specialist II to code and verify charge data for ED, SDS, OPC, OBS, specialty clinics and OB/newborn encounters. This role requires expertise in ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS, HCC and E/M coding, and may involve training other coders.

You will work in a 100% virtual capacity, with remote eligibility limited to certain states, and maintain ongoing CE hours and credentials to support accurate and compliant billing.

Qualificações

• High school diploma required.
• Must have completed approved coding program or be HIM graduate.
• CCS/CCS-P or CPC/CPC-H/CAC certification required.
• Strong knowledge of Anatomy & Physiology; coding accuracy required.

Responsabilidades

• Code and abstract all encounters per coding conventions and hospital policy.
• Assign diagnosis/procedures using ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS, HCC, and E/M codes.
• Maintain 95% accuracy on quality reviews and productivity standards.
• Train/assist other coders for accuracy and efficiency.
