Parkland Health is seeking a Coding Specialist II for a 100% remote position. The role requires expertise in ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT/HCPCS, and HEDIS CAT II, with responsibility for coding and charge review across ED, SDS, OPC, OBS, and OB/newborn encounters.

Applicants must have two years of acute care coding experience, a coded program credential or HIM degree, and AHIMA/AAPC certification options. A pre-employment test is required; remote work is limited to listed states.

Qualificações

• Two years of acute care coding experience.
• Experience in physician office coding, charging and billing preferred.
• Must hold or obtain coding credentials (RHIT/RHIA/CCS/CCS-P/CCA or CPC/CPC-H/COC).

Responsabilidades

• Code and verify charge data for ED, SDS, OPC, OBS, and OB/newborn encounters.
• Assign ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS, HCC and HEDIS CAT II, E/M codes per CMS requirements.
• Maintain 95% accuracy on quality reviews and contribute to training of other coders.
• Update patient databases with classification codes and resolve discrepancies.
