Parkland Health is seeking a Coding Specialist II for a 100% virtual role. The position requires expertise in ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT/HCPCS, HCC, and E/M coding, with strong attention to documentation quality and billing accuracy.

The candidate should have two years of acute care coding experience, CCS/RHIT/RHIA or CPC/CPC-H/COC credentials, and familiarity with Epic EHR and 3M 360 tools. Remote work is limited to TX, FL, AR, and WI.

Qualificações

• Two years of coding experience in an acute care setting or diverse clinical specialties.
• Must have strong knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology and possess strong application skills.
• Must be CCS or RHIT/RHIA or CPC/CPC-H/CAC certification.
• Proficient in ICD-9/ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT-4/HCPCS, HCC and HEDIS CAT II, and E/M coding.

Responsabilidades

• Code, abstract and conduct charge quality review on ED, SDS, OPC, OBS, and OB/newborn encounters.
• Assigns diagnosis and procedures codes per CMS for professional and hospital billing.
• Achieve and maintain 95% accuracy on quality reviews and productivity standards.
• Update patient database with classification codes and resolve conflicts.
