UVA Health is seeking a Coding Specialist 2 to support OB/GYN services in a remote role. You will code professional services, review documentation for accuracy, and ensure compliance with guidelines.

Collaboration with physicians and revenue cycle teams is essential to improve reimbursement integrity and documentation quality. Ideal for coders with 2+ years of experience who value accuracy, education, and regulatory compliance.

Formación

• CPC certification is required.
• 2+ years of relevant coding experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsabilidades

• Review and assign accurate ICD-10-CM and CPT codes for provider services, procedures, and diagnostic testing.
• Analyze clinical documentation to ensure coding accuracy and compliance with guidelines.
• Identify documentation deficiencies and determine when provider clarification or queries are appropriate.
• Apply coding modifiers, evaluate NCCI edits, and navigate payer-specific billing requirements.
• Partner with physicians, clinical staff, and revenue cycle teams to support coding education and best practices.
• Monitor coding quality trends and contribute to process improvements.
• Utilize Epic and other EHR systems to review encounters and supporting documentation.
• Maintain high productivity with exceptional accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
