Job summary

Unified Women’s Healthcare in Florida seeks a Coding Analyst to review and optimize medical billing, coding, and compliance across OB/GYN practices. You will audit charts, resolve denials, and educate providers to ensure accurate reimbursement.

The role requires a CPC certification with at least five years in medical coding or related back-office work, preferably with OB/GYN exposure. You’ll collaborate with Revenue Cycle, support policy updates, and help maintain regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a biller, collector, coder, or back office support staff in medical industry.
• CPC certification required; OB/GYN experience preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of auditing concepts, medical coding, billing systems, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to handle confidential information.
• Familiarity with payor policies, denials, and AR management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide second-level review of billing to ensure compliance and optimal reimbursement.
• Audit medical records to identify under-coded or over-coded services; educate providers on proper coding.
• Interact with physicians and staff regarding billing policies; resolve ambiguities through queries with providers.
• Collaborate with Revenue Cycle team to follow up on patient accounts and resubmissions.
• Monitor payor policy changes and advise on coding practices to maintain compliance.
• Train staff on coding guidelines and regulatory provisions; support practice administrators.
