Job summary

CHRISTUS Health Coding Quality Specialist position focuses on internal coding reviews for inpatient and outpatient HB coding, advancing education and pre-bill processes to maintain high accuracy.

The role collaborates with HIM Coding Education Manager and other departments to ensure feedback is reported for training and improvement initiatives, while remaining adaptable to remote work and evolving workflows.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Meet expectations of coding competencies and leadership.
• Facilitate inpatient and outpatient coding reviews.
• Communicate findings to support training and education in approved formats.
• Assist with development and coordination of review plans, education feedback, and coding accuracy (ICD, CPT, HCPCS).
• Assist with sample selection for reviews and coordination with Coding Managers.
