The coder will abstract data into CHRISTUS Health EMR systems, collaborate with Admitting, Charging, and HIM, and support coding improvements in a remote setting.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of AHIMA approved Coding Certificate Program preferred.
• Two years of outpatient coding experience in acute care preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assign codes for diagnoses and procedures according to ICD-10-CM and CPT guidelines.
• Extract and abstract information from source documentation into CHRISTUS Health EMR systems.
• Collaborate with Admitting, Charging, HIM, and other departments to resolve issues and reduce denials.
