CHRISTUS Health is seeking a Specialty Coder in Texas. You will focus coding for inpatient or outpatient high-dollar cases, ensuring accurate ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT coding from clinical docs and tests.

This role requires a 95%+ accuracy rate and collaboration with HIM and Clinical Documentation Improvement teams. You’ll work remotely, supporting CHRISTUS Health’s coding operations and ensuring proper data abstraction into electronic medical records, with strong written and verbal communication

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• AHIMA-approved Coding Certificate Program preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assign codes for diagnoses, treatments, and procedures per official guidelines.
• Abstract data into CHRISTUS Health EMR systems.
• Verify patient dispositions and physician data for accurate coding and billing.
• Query providers for missing or unclear documentation.
• Maintain coding accuracy rate of 95% or better.
• Collaborate with HIM and Clinical Documentation Improvement teams.
