Qualifications

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) credential required.
• 5 years of coding experience in a tertiary setting preferred.
• Substantial surgical coding experience; Neurosurgery/Neurosurgery coding especially desirable.
• Strong research capabilities and ability to translate complex coding guidance for clinical audiences.
• Experience in auditing, education, quality, compliance, or coding advisory work.
• Effective presentation and communication skills with providers and clinical leaders.

Responsibilities

• Educate physicians with individualized coding education.
• Manage professional billing audits.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned specialties, especially Neurosurgery.
• Partner with providers to improve documentation integrity and quality.
