Job summary

Geisinger is seeking an experienced Coding Program Supervisor to direct, coordinate and plan all personnel within the coding program area. You will ensure accurate coding practices, education, audits and staff/flexing.

You will hire, train and retain staff, oversee revenue cycle activities, ensure compliance with CMS guidelines and maintain policy procedures. A CCS/CCS-P or RHIT/RHIA via AHIMA/AAPC is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certification in AHIMA or AAPC required upon hire.
• Plans, directs and supervises coding staff to ensure accurate processing of rendered services.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and supervises coding staff to ensure timely, accurate and complete processing of rendered services.
• Assumes responsibility for hiring, training and retention of employees.
• Effectively manages and oversees program performance regarding Revenue Cycle activity.
• Develops policies and procedures to ensure all services are billed accurately.
• Ensures program knowledge and compliance with CMS and related documentation standards.
• Oversees quarterly audits to ensure policy adherence.
