Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking a Coding Compliance Auditor to perform in-depth coding audits of inpatient and outpatient encounters. The role requires applying official coding guidelines to validate code assignments and to ensure proper payment methodology based on clinical documentation.

Qualified candidates will have an Associate degree or equivalent, five years of coding experience, and AHIMA/AAPC credentials with CCS preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred or equivalent education/experience
• Five years coding experience including hospital inpatient and outpatient
• AHIMA and/or AAPC coding credential; CCS preferred
• Ability to audit inpatient and outpatient coding accurately
• Ability to produce clear audit reports and meet productivity standards
• Pass pre-hire coding assessment
• Knowledge of ICD-10 CM/PCS, EM, CPT-4 guidelines, MS-DRG, APC, OCE, NCCI

Responsibilities

• Conduct coding compliance audits of inpatient and outpatient encounters
• Validate code assignment according to official coding guidelines
• Review clinical documentation in health records to support audits
• Prepare concise audit reports and ensure timely completion
