Job summary

ThedaCare is seeking a Supervisor, Coding & Auditing to oversee daily coding workflow and productivity for clinic health record coding. The role ensures quality through up-to-date coding knowledge, audits, and compliant processes, while promoting engagement and safe work practices.

Responsibilities include guiding the coding team, monitoring payer guidelines, and collaborating across departments to ensure accurate statistics and complete documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent credential required.
• Three years of leadership experience including leading work teams and/or projects.
• Five years of coding experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the physician coding staff including orientation, training, performance development, competency assessment, and disciplinary actions.
• Educate the coding team in coding guidelines, documentation techniques, and functions.
• Ensure integrity of coding controls and revenue generation is maintained at a high level.
• Supervise coding of patient encounters and conduct internal coding audits for accuracy.
• Ensure timely completion of coding and data/charge entry in the revenue cycle.
