Renown Health is seeking an experienced Coding Education & Audit Specialist to drive revenue cycle excellence across the organization. The role focuses on educating clinicians and coders, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

The position serves as a trusted advisor to physicians, coders, and revenue cycle leaders, delivering education and identifying improvement opportunities for both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Qualifications

• Proven expertise in medical coding, documentation integrity, and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS, Medicare/Medicaid, and payer guidelines.
• Experience conducting coding audits and provider education with documentation reviews.

Responsibilities

• Educate and mentor providers and coding professionals on documentation, coding, billing policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct audits of provider documentation and coding practices to ensure accuracy, compliance, and optimal reimbursement.
• Develop and deliver engaging educational programs, training materials, newsletters, and reference resources.
• Analyze coding trends, denials, and audit findings to identify opportunities for quality improvement and provider education.
• Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, compliance teams, coders, and revenue cycle leaders to support documentation excellence across inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS, CMS regulations, and third-party payer requirements.
