Job summary

Gainwell Technologies is seeking a Senior Coding Auditor, Itemized Bill Reviewer responsible for performing itemized bill review, chart review, and coding validation to ensure billed services were ordered, allowable, and accurately documented.

The role requires inpatient hospital bill auditing experience, outpatient facility coding with charge master review, knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS, and the ability to work 100% remotely.

Qualifications

• Active professional credentials through AHIMA or AAPC required.
• 2+ years inpatient hospital bill auditing and outpatient facility coding preferred.
• Proficient in ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT/HCPCS, HCPCS and UB-04 billing.

Responsibilities

• Verify itemized bills reflect services, accurately ordered and reimbursed.
• Evaluate documentation for accurate coding and reimbursement.
• Use auditing systems to document findings and rationale.
• Maintain productivity and quality standards.
• Assist training and mentor new Coding Auditors.
• Maintain current coding knowledge and CEUs.
