Qualifications

• Active coding credential: RHIA, RHIT, CCS (required).
• Minimum 3 years of inpatient facility auditing experience.
• Expert knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, MS-DRGs, POA indicators, UHDDS.
• Strong understanding of CMS regulations, OIG guidance, and compliance standards.
• Experience with remote or global coding teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform prebill audits of inpatient facility coding, including MS-DRGs and ICD-10-CM/PCS.
• Validate documentation supports coded diagnoses and procedures.
• Identify coding errors, trends, and root causes impacting reimbursement and quality.
• Educate and provide feedback to coding and QA teams across time zones.
• Support continuous improvement through data analysis and collaboration.
