Job summary

CAI is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer to design, implement, and optimize cloud-based architectures across AWS, Azure, or GCP. The role involves automation, monitoring, and documentation, with a remote, contract arrangement.

The candidate will collaborate with senior engineers and stay current with cloud tech trends. The position requires experience with programming languages, automation, and infrastructure concepts, and does not include visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 3+ years of experience with two or more modern programming or scripting languages.
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong scripting and automation experience.
• Understanding of infrastructure concepts (OS, virtualization, networking).
• Experience with IaC tools and automation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and implement cloud-based architectures and deployment solutions.
• Develop and maintain scalable cloud solutions for business needs.
• Monitor cloud usage and performance to optimize spend and efficiency.
• Design automation scripts and reusable deployment patterns.
• Evaluate new cloud technologies and adoption strategies.
• Provide Level 2 support for cloud operations.
