Job summary

CAI is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer to design, implement, and optimize cloud architectures across the organization using AWS, Azure, or GCP environments. The role emphasizes modern programming languages, automation, and scalable cloud solutions.

This remote, contract position is directly employed by CAI. You will work with automation, monitor performance, and drive cloud efficiency while following security practices and governance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
3+ years with two or more modern languages (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Bash, PowerShell).
Experience with at least one major cloud platform (GCP, Azure, AWS).
Strong scripting and automation experience.
Understanding of networking, virtualization, and operating systems.

Responsibilities

Engineer and implement cloud-based architectures, migration strategies, deployment solutions, and automation.
Develop and maintain scalable cloud solutions that support business objectives.
Monitor cloud resource usage and performance trends to optimize spend and efficiency.
Design and develop automation scripts and deployment patterns for cloud apps and services.
Collaborate with senior engineers to improve cloud service utilization and efficiency.
