Job summary

CAI is seeking an AWS Cloud Software Architect to design and implement scalable cloud-native solutions for an IT Application Development team. This is a full-time, remote, long-term contract role with periodic office visits to Trenton, NJ.

The candidate will lead development across full stack (ReactJS, Python) and AWS services, emphasizing secure, scalable architectures and AI-assisted development. The role requires extensive experience with AWS (ECS, RDS, ALB, Route 53), Flask, SQLAlchemy,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
8+ years as an Application Developer in AWS cloud environments.
8+ years ReactJS front-end development experience.
8+ years Python programming experience.
8+ years Flask framework experience.
8+ years containerization and microservices experience.
8+ years SQLAlchemy ORM experience.
8+ years PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases.
8+ years security best practices in cloud environments.
4+ years AI coding harnesses (Claude Code or AWS Kiro) experience.

Responsibilities

Develop scalable front-end applications using ReactJS with TypeScript.
Build robust back-end services with Python and SQLAlchemy.
Design and implement cloud-native solutions on AWS (ECS, RDS, ALB, Route 53).
Coordinate CI/CD pipelines with DevOps for automated testing and deployment.
Mentor team members in AWS cloud-native applications and AI-assisted development.
Create feature specifications and technical design blueprints.
Lead knowledge transfers and documentation for client AWS hosted apps.
