Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Software Engineer, Cloud Enablement to build cloud-facing infrastructure that supports secure, reliable request handling and developer workflows. Remote-US based; collaborate with engineers across teams to deliver enhancements and improve platform usability in production.

You will contribute to open-source software with customer impact, strengthen observability with logs/metrics/traces, and write tests to ensure code quality while driving security integrations and developer

Qualifications

Proficient in Go or comparable systems programming languages.
Understanding of service-to-service communication and distributed systems principles.
Familiarity with security concepts like mTLS, JWT, OIDC, and OAuth.
Ability to independently tackle a project from problem identification to solution and documentation.
Collaborative mindset for cross-functional teamwork.

Responsibilities

Implement features in the proxy codebase with production-quality code.
Enhance core components for request handling, configuration, and security integrations.
Maintain observability by adding logs, metrics, and traces, and assist in troubleshooting.
Write tests to ensure code correctness and prevent regressions.
Work alongside engineers from various teams to execute scoped projects safely.
Improve developer experience by creating documentation and simplifying platform usage.
