Job summary

Strategic Innovation Group, LLC is seeking a Cloud DevSecOps Engineer to design, provision, secure, and maintain cloud infrastructure for government engagements. The role emphasizes hands-on AWS expertise, Terraform/Ansible for IaC, and CloudBolt for hybrid cloud provisioning and governance.

The position sits at the intersection of cloud engineering and DevSecOps, requiring automation, secure by design practices, and the ability to extend tooling across environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of cloud engineering or DevSecOps experience.
• Hands-on AWS experience with core compute, storage, networking and security services.
• Proven Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and lifecycle management.
• Proven Ansible for configuration management and deployment automation.
• Direct experience with CloudBolt or similar cloud management/orchestration platforms.
• Strong scripting ability (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation.
• Solid understanding of DevSecOps, CI/CD, and security-as-code principles.
• Experience in hybrid/multi-account cloud environments and gov contractor contexts.
• Excellent communication with government and client stakeholders; U.S. citizen with suitability for clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure for production and development under Well-Architected Framework.
• Author, test, and maintain Terraform for provisioning cloud resources.
• Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks/roles for configuration management and deployment.
• Administer and extend CloudBolt for self-service provisioning and governance.
• Implement DevSecOps across the delivery lifecycle, including security scanning and policy-as-code.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, security, and deployment.
• Write scripts (Python, Bash, PowerShell) to automate tasks and integrate tooling.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud environments for performance, cost, security, and availability.
• Enforce IAM, network segmentation, secrets management, and encryption standards.
• Collaborate with program management, engineering, and client stakeholders; document architectures and runbooks.
