Job summary

Koniag Data Solutions, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support cloud modernization, cybersecurity automation, and mission delivery for government customers. The role is remote and requires ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities include designing GitLab CI/CD pipelines, building IaC with Ansible/AWS CloudFormation/ Terraform, and managing multi‑cloud environments. Collaboration with security and DevOps teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or related technical role.
• Hands‑on experience with GitLab for source control management and CI/CD pipeline development.
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms.
• Experience with IaC tools including Ansible and AWS CloudFormation.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop and manage IaC solutions using Ansible, CloudFormation, Terraform.
• Engineer, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure.
• Support continuous Authorization to Operate (cATO) and automated ATO processes.
• Integrate security and compliance telemetry from Splunk, Tenable, CrowdStrike.
• Produce and maintain event‑log management reports aligned with federal requirements.
• Collaborate with development, security, cloud architecture, and operations teams to integrate DevSecOps.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud and pipeline performance.
• Develop technical documentation, runbooks, and playbooks.
