You will perform detailed reviews of coverage determinations, including prior authorizations and formulary exceptions, across multiple lines of business.

The role involves real-time evaluation of ~500 specialty medications, collaboration with pharmacists and healthcare providers, and training during onboarding.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree.
• Current pharmacist license in good standing with a US State Board of Pharmacy.
• Five or more years of work experience as a pharmacist in retail, managed care, or clinical settings.

Responsibilities

• Review clinical evaluations for coverage determinations and prior authorizations.
• Assess specialty medications across oncology and other specialties.
• Apply clinical criteria and guidelines to determine coverage.
• Document rationales clearly in systems supporting determinations.
• Consult with healthcare providers to discuss coverage issues.
