Job summary

Actalent seeks a Remote Clinical Utilization Management Pharmacist to conduct in-depth reviews of specialty medication requests, including prior authorizations and step therapy. You will apply clinical criteria to determine coverage across Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid lines, focusing on oncology and other specialties.

The role is fully remote, US-based, with training and collaboration across a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality and compliant determinations.

Qualifications

• PharmD or BS in Pharmacy required; licensed to practice in the US.
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in retail, managed care, or clinical pharmacy.
• Experience with specialty pharmacy and prior authorization/utilization management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review clinical evaluations for coverage determinations and prior authorizations.
• Assess formulary exceptions and utilization management requests for specialty meds.
• Communicate with prescribers and healthcare teams to clarify clinical information.
• Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure consistency in coverage decisions.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements.
