Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a part-time pharmacist for our fully remote Refill Authorization Pharmacy Team. The role requires an active license in Utah, Colorado, Montana, or Nevada and involves medication refills for primary care clinics across Intermountain.

Two shift options are available: two 10-hour shifts on Fri/Sat, or a mix of 4- and 8-hour shifts throughout Thu–Sat. We offer a collaborative pharmacy environment focused on medication management and patient access.

Qualifications

Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution (education verified).
License to practice pharmacy in the state of practice and dispense controlled substances.
Current knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes regarding the practice of pharmacy.
Effective communication, people management, and project management skills.
Immunization certification if applicable to practice site needs

Responsibilities

Reviews patients' medication orders for allergies, interactions, and appropriateness; makes evidence-based interventions.
Oversees timely preparation and delivery of medications to care areas; ensures secure storage and workflow.
Completes regulatory training and adheres to all laws, policies, and SOPs.
Identifies and solves problems related to equipment, drug availability, and staffing while maintaining patient care.
Participates in quality improvement and safety initiatives; supports leadership and enterprise directives.
Engages in cross-team collaboration to improve patient access to medications.
