GovCIO is hiring a Clinical Subject Matter Expert to act as the clinical authority on a team delivering health IT capabilities for Veteran community care. The role documents day-to-day community care processes, translates them into testable requirements, and validates that delivered solutions perform in real clinic workloads.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience or commensurate experience.
• Registered Nurse with 5+ years of clinical healthcare experience (or commensurate).
• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in a United States state or territory.
• Two or more years of direct VA community care referral coordination experience (within last 12 months).
• Daily use of VA referral management system (HSRM) and VistA/CPRS or Millennium/PowerChart Referral Management at a Federal EHR site.
• Knowledge of VHA Directives and Community Care standards guiding day-to-day practice.
• Ability to work remotely with reliable connectivity during core Eastern Time hours.
• Clearance: able to obtain VA Public Trust background investigation.

Responsabilités

• Serve as clinical and operational authority for community care workflows.
• Translate current-state processes into user stories, acceptance criteria, and rules.
• Validate delivered functionality through clinical user acceptance testing.
• Ensure system behavior aligns with VHA policy and SOPs.
• Translate clinical knowledge into build-ready artifacts for the technical team.
• Define reporting and dashboard requirements from a coordinator's view.
• Support training and field readiness for delivered functionality.
