Job summary

Stepful is hiring a Clinical Coordinator to build and lead the clinical instructor function for our nursing programs. You will consolidate coordination of clinical education, recruit and mentor instructors, and own relationships with clinical sites in the Midwest and beyond.

You’ll start with teaching two days per week in clinical settings and simulation labs, then scale to lead a growing instructor team, manage site partnerships, and run operations to keep rotations audit-ready.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted multistate RN license or eligibility.
• Master’s degree in nursing (required for accreditation).
• 2+ years of teaching clinicals in a nursing education program.
• Experience training, onboarding, or mentoring clinical instructors.
• Current BLS/CPR certification (healthcare provider level).
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
• Strong organizational and scheduling skills.
• Relationship-focused approach with site staff, instructors, and students.

Responsibilities

• Teach clinical instruction at clinical and simulation sites two days per week.
• Model high standards of clinical teaching and provide backup coverage as the team grows.
• Recruit, hire, and onboard clinical instructors for nursing programs.
• Train instructors and support ongoing professional development.
• Manage clinical site relationships and secure new partners.
• Coordinate site visits and align sites with program objectives.
• Handle onboarding logistics and maintain documentation for compliance.
• Run clinical operations including scheduling, coverage, and notifications.
• Ensure audit-ready records for Boards and accreditation.
